In 1992, Hisakazu Tsuboya entered Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT). In July 1992, he transferred to NTT DoCoMo, one of the companies spun off with the re-organisation of NTT, and worked in software development of switching equipment for mobile communications and international standardisation. Following posts in NTT DoCoMo’s International Division and Corporate Planning Division, Mr Tsuboya joined what is now the Smart Life Business Division, where he undertook projects related to new business development. In February 2015, he was appointed founding President of DoCoMo Bike Share Inc. that he had been personally involved in establishing, and injected intensive efforts into business expansion. Thereafter, Mr Tsuboya served as General Manager, Chiba branch and in July 2020 was appointed to his current post. His current focus is collaboration on cutting-edge solutions with partner companies as well as generating new business through 5G x DX.
