James Cheatley is Senior Regional Director, VOD, Digital Affairs and Intellectual Property at the Motion Picture Association and is based in Singapore. James has worked in media and copyright policy for over 15 years. Mr Cheatley started his career working in copyright policy at the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department in Canberra. Subsequently, Mr Cheatley worked in Sydney as a copyright lawyer and was secretary of the Copyright Society of Australia and edited the Society’s journal – the Copyright Reporter. Before joining the MPA, James was Director of Government Relations for Screen Producers Australia.
