Jeremy Godfrey has over 30 years’ experience in public service, and in the telecommunications and IT sector. Prior to his appointment, Mr Godfrey was a member of the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) where he also served as Chairperson of ComReg from March 2015 until March 2017. Mr Godfrey was the Government Chief Information Officer in Hong Kong from 2008 to 2011. He has been a partner in PA Consulting Group and has held senior roles in Hong Kong Telecom and the Cable & Wireless Group. Mr Godfrey has also worked for the UK Department of Trade and Industry and as an independent consultant.
Mr Godfrey holds an MA from Cambridge University, where he studied mathematics.
