A recognized leader in the Telecommunications and Information Technology sector with 25 years of experience, Juan José De Dios, a Guatemalan national, began his career at Tigo in 2012.

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Rafael Landívar University, a Master’s in Business Administration from INCAE Business School, and a specialization in Marketing and Sales from Kellogg Northwestern University. His academic background also includes a postgraduate degree in Digital Business from Columbia University in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Juan José has more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning, local and regional operations, as well as in leading multidisciplinary teams and sales forces. Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself by creating new and innovative business models, managing the change process, and effectively managing teams to accelerate results.

He served as Commercial Director of Tigo Business for more than nine years. In this role, he led a portfolio of more than 30,000 companies—micro, small, medium-sized, and large companies that support Tigo Business’ work and which he strategically supported in their digital transformation process, integrating different technologies into business solutions that help improve their operations, innovate products and services, deliver added value to their customers, and manage risk.

Prior to his appointment at Tigo Panama, he held the role of Chief B2B Officer for Tigo Business, leading the company’s operations in Guatemala to drive its vision of bringing digital transformation to the region.
