He is a former official in the Directorate of Economic Studies of the National Planning Department and a professor of microeconomics, industrial organization, and competition policy in undergraduate and graduate programs in economics and law. He has served as Coordinator of Economic Studies, Head of the Planning Advisory Office, and Deputy Superintendent for the Protection of Competition at the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce.
