Khalid Khan is the Founder and Chairman of Central Asian Cellular Forum (www.3gca.org), which is a premier platform for the wireless industry stakeholders in the region, working towards building awareness and encouraging dialogue and the promotion of emerging technologies and their use in Central Asia, Afghanistan and Pakistan for telecom operators, broadcasters, manufacturers, software companies, government, academia and the general public.
Mr Khan is a pioneer in creating IT incubation and acceleration environment in the country through the programmes, Pure-Push and Appnex (privately funded incubation programs working with Universities). He is also the publisher and Editor in Chief of Phone-World Magazine and the online Technology Channel (www.phoneworld.com.pk ) and is a Member of the Advisory Committee on Industry Development, Pakistan Telecom Authority.
Mr Khan has been on the Board of Directors of prestigious IT, media & telecom companies including Interactive Group, Diallog Broadband (a Mobile TV company), Radio Buraq FM and Minstsoft.
Mr Khan is an Electronics Engineering Graduate from NED University with Masters in Business and Finance.
