Minister of Communications & Works, British Virgin Islands

Honourable Kye M. Rymer has been serving the Virgin Islands as the Minister for Communications and Works and Representative for the Fifth Electoral District since 2019.

A dedicated public Officer, Honourable Rymer, brings a strong background in technical management and public administration to his ministerial role. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management and an Associate of Science in Electronics from DeVry Institute of Technology.

Prior to his ministerial appointment, Honourable Rymer held several key positions within the public service. He served as Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles from 2014 to 2018, following his tenure as Deputy Commissioner from 2010 to 2014. His early career included roles as Senior Assistant Human Resources Manager and Traffic Light Technician, serving under the Conservation and Fisheries Department and the Ministry of Communications and Works, respectively.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Honourable Rymer is a devoted husband and father of two daughters. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and is actively involved in his community. His personal interests include playing softball and basketball, boating, and attending church.
