Leena Kuusniemi provides legal support for Rovio Legal’s cloud-related infrastructure and services development, online advertising, technology sourcing, M&A, data protection/privacy and all regulatory issues globally.
Before joining Rovio Legal in 2012, she worked for 10 years with Nokia Corporation (in Espoo HQ, Vancouver, Copenhagen) supporting Nokia’s device R&D, sales and marketing in France and Italy, location-based services (maps) and privacy issues. Prior to joining Nokia she was the sole legal counsel for a Finnish game and software company and started her career as attorney at Juridia Law in Helsinki.
Ms Kuusniemi has participated in various legal working groups and is in advisory board for Helsinki Legal Tech Lab (Law Faculty in Helsinki University). In addition she has lectured widely to both legal professionals and non-lawyers, and in universities for post-graduate studies, such as the DPO certification programme at Maastricht University.
Ms Kuusniemi has a first degree from the University of Helsinki and an LLM in law and information Technology from the University of Stockholm.
