Liza Zouabi is an economist with over 30 years experience across a number of sectors. She began her career at the at the University of South Africa where she taught undergraduate and post graduate students and was involved in consulting on an array of subjects. In 2002 she joined the South African Competition Commission where she was head of case analysis in the policy and research division. This was followed by a stint in National Treasury where she was director responsible for indirect taxes. He passion for competition matters never waned, however, and she returned to advising on economic aspects of competition enforcement by joining a Johannesburg firm in 2008. In 2010 she joined Telkom South Africa where she is Executive: Group Pricing and Regulatory Economics Compliance.
