Marianna Scharf is Director and Head of EU Public Policy at Netflix, the world’s leading online entertainment service. In this role, she focuses on entertainment and media policies and is the primary point of contact for European institutions and stakeholders.
Together with her team, Ms Scharf works with policymakers to promote policies that enable a thriving digital media landscape and benefit the creative ecosystem, including consumers.
Previously, Ms Scharf worked for Facebook, where she focused on economic policy, and for FIPRA, an EU public affairs consulting firm.
A lawyer by training, Ms Scharf holds an LLM in European Law from the College of Europe.
