Nicole Walford is the Deputy Executive Director of the Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica and a member of the Regulatory and Technical Committee for Digital Television Switchover in Jamaica, a subcommittee of the National DSO Steering Committee.
Her passion lies with the empowerment of all Jamaicans to navigate the digital economy with the aid of Digital Literacy. In that regard, Ms Walford plays a pivotal role in the design and implementation of the BCJ’s digital literacy programme which targets children in school, equipping them to navigate the digital economy and society.
Ms Walford is also an Attorney-at-law and a trained communications practitioner, having attained a first degree in Media and Communication from the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London. She is the holder of a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School, a post-graduate certificate in Media Law and a post-graduate diploma in Intellectual Property from the University of London. She has certification in project management from the Mona School of Business and Management and is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association.
