Nor Azhar Hassan joined MCMC in November 1999 and was appointed as Head of Industry Research and Data Analytics Division in September 2021. Prior to his present position, he was the Head of Infrastructure Division at MCMC for about 4 years.
His current area of work covers the development of data analytics and market research strategies in line with the strategic direction of the Commission to ensure stronger and faster evidence-based decision making and policy formulation.
Mr Hassan graduated from University of Evansville, Indiana, USA, with an honor degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a member of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a member of Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
