Pierre Emile Vandoorne is Netflix’s Senior Director of Public Policy for Latin America. He holds a B.A. from the School of Image Arts at Ryerson University (Canada) and a Master’s degree in Hispanic Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (PUCP). Pierre has an extensive career in cultural and media policy. He previously held the position of Director of Audiovisual, Phonography, and New Media (DAFO) at Peru’s Ministry of Culture, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s cultural policies. Additionally, he served as the Executive Secretary of the Conference of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Authorities of Ibero-America (CAACI) from 2018 to 2020, contributing to the development and promotion of audiovisual and cinematographic initiatives across the region..In academia, Vandoorne was appointed as a staff professor in the Communications Department at PUCP in 2012, where he has been involved in educating and mentoring the next generation of communication professionals.
