Ricardo Ramírez

Ricardo Ramírez Hernández is the Coordinator of Audiovisual Management and Regulatory Outreach at the Communications Regulatory Commission of Colombia.

He is a Film and Television Director from the National University of Colombia, with additional studies in Public Management, and was awarded a scholarship by Mexico’s Secretariat of Public Education in Educational Television Production. With more than twenty-five years of experience, Ricardo has led the design and implementation of policies, plans, and projects to strengthen Colombia’s national content industry, promote inclusive communication, and encourage citizen participation. His work as an audiovisual producer has earned national and international recognition, including the India Catalina Awards, the Prix Jeunesse International, the Japan Prize, the National Culture Award, and the National Award for Scientific Merit.

In the public sector, he has served as Executive Producer at the National University of Colombia, Coordinator of the Audiovisual Narratives Group at the Ministry of Culture, and Advisor to the CRC. In his current role, he leads initiatives that foster media pluralism, impartial information, the protection of audience rights, citizen engagement, and regulatory education in the audiovisual sector.
