Robert C. Schwartz is President and Director General of the Romanian Radio Society. A journalist and media manager with over three decades of experience, he spent nearly thirty years at Deutsche Welle in Germany, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Romanian Editorial Department from 2000 to 2020. Earlier in his career, he made history as the first freely elected high-school director in post-communist Romania and represented the German minority in Romania’s first provisional parliament in 1990. In 2012, the President of Romania awarded him the Order of Cultural Merit, Commander grade.
