Manager, Digital Sex Crime Content Review Bureau, Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC)

Soyoung Park is a Manager at the Digital Sex Crime Content Review Bureau of the Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC), an independent statutory body responsible for regulating media content in South Korea. Since joining KCSC in 2013, she has led various international initiatives, including organizing KCSC’s annual roundtables and managing its global affairs. In her current role, she oversees KCSC’s engagement with foreign organizations and industry stakeholders, fostering global cooperation to address online sexual harms.

She is responsible for KCSC’s involvement with INHOPE, WeProtect Global Alliance, and Global Online Safety Regulators Network (GOSRN). She has been instrumental in establishing partnerships with platforms like Telegram, Discord, and OnlyFans, enhancing the collective response to online sexual exploitation and abuse. Alongside her expertise in online safety and international relations, she has extensive experience in the review and regulation of political programming on television.

She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Sungkyunkwan University and has completed the coursework for a master’s degree in International Law from Korea University, providing a strong foundation for her work in media content regulation.
