Sungjin Yoo is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the School of Business Administration, Soongsil University, Seoul, South Korea. Before joining Soongsil University in September 2022, Dr Yoo served as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Iona University, New York, from 2019 to 2022.

Dr Yoo’s research spans the regulatory dynamics of global OTT platforms, the disruptive impacts of sharing economy platforms, and IT security strategies. His work has been published in prestigious journals (such as the Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, and Telecommunication Policy).

In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr Yoo collaborates actively with global streaming service providers and media companies, addressing critical industry challenges and providing actionable insights that drive innovation and sustainable growth.

Beyond academia, Dr Yoo contributes to professional communities as a member of the Korean Society for Quality Management and the Korean Society of Service Management board.
