Tahani has over 15 years of experience in digital transformation, telecommunications, and technology policy across the Asia-Pacific region. She currently champions ADB’s digital sector operations in Central, West and South Asia. Prior to joining ADB, she was part of Meta’s APAC Connectivity and Access Policy team where she led initiatives on connectivity, infrastructure, and digital inclusion. She also served as a regulatory and policy specialist at Axiata Group Berhad, supporting telecom and digital investments across South and Southeast Asia.
Tahani has also worked with the World Bank, the Singapore Internet Research Centre (SIRC) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and at LIRNEasia, a regional digital advocacy think tank in Sri Lanka. She is a published author on digital sector issues.
Tahani holds a Master in Public Policy from National University of Singapore and a BSc in Economics and Management from London School of Economics and Political Science.
