Dr Wei-Ching Wang is a Commissioner at the National Communications Commission (NCC), Taiwan (ROC),

Dr Wang is  Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor of the Graduate Institute of Mass Communication, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).  She is hold the positions of:  Taipei News Team Reporter, the Liberty Times;  Medical & Environmental Protection News Team Reporter, the Liberty Times; Director of the Graduate Institute of Mass Communication, NTNU;  Television Programs and Advertisings Advisory Committee Member, National Communications Commission; Core Expert Team Member of AI Technology R&D Guidelines, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST);  Government Open Data Advisory Committee Member, Ministry of Labor; Culture Open Data Advisory Committee Member, Ministry of Culture; Apple Daily News Self-discipline Advisory Committee Member; Accompanying Inspector for Taipei City Mass Media Labor Conditions, Department of Labor, Taipei City Government; Vice Chairman for the Chinese Communication Society; Standing Director & Supervisor for the Chinese Communication Society; Director of Taiwan Academy for Information Society; Standing Director of Campaign for Media Reform;  Judge for the Excellent Journalism Award; Judge for the Wu Shun-wen Journalism Award.

Dr Wang’s major research areas are: Information Communication, Information Economy, Digital Network Platforms, Social Media, Political Economy of Communication, Artificial Intelligence, Academic Record/Education.

Dr Wang holds a  B.S., the Department of Economics, Tunghai University, 1996,  M.S., the Graduate Institute of Communications, Shih-Hsin University, 1999, and a PhD., the Department of Radio-Television-Film, University of Texas at Austin, 2004.

Dr Wang’s specialities are: Excellent Young Scholar Research Award, MOST;  Outstanding Academic Research and Excellent Teacher of the College of International Studies and Social Sciences, NTNU; Outstanding Academic Research and Excellent Teacher of the College of Social Sciences, NTNU
and Chief Special Project Host for the AI Research Center, MOST.
