With an illustrious career spanning three decades thus far, Datuk Yasmin Mahmood started her career as an analyst programmer before working her way up to CEO and senior positions of global brands within Malaysia such as Dell, HP and Microsoft. She is noted for the “Malaysianising Microsoft” vision when she aligned the strengths of what was then the world’s most powerful software company with Malaysia’s national and development agenda.
In September 2014, Datuk Yasmin accepted the position of CEO of MDEC, seeing it as a way of serving the nation by utilising her expertise and experience for the betterment of Malaysia.
