Regulatory Watch

The EU has launched its proposals for AI regulations. The Commission hopes that the new rules will position the EU to play a leading role in the technology. Campaigners have welcomed much of the framework, but expressed disappointment at the breadth of possible exemptions, while technology bodies questioned whether the proposals would provide sufficient incentive for start-ups and investors.
