Exotic Suriname holds some policy lessons for other micro-markets
With the establishment of the Surinaamse Tele- visie Stichting (STVS) in 1965, the first step was made to introduce television in Suriname. The second television station came twenty-two years later, in 1987, when AlgemeneTelevisie Verzorging (ATV) started its operation as a subsidiary of the Telecommunications Corporation Suriname, Telesur.
