Q: What do you see as your biggest challenge?
A: Being in a developmental world and being a regulator, your challenges are as multitudinous as the Autumn leaves! You inevitably have welfare issues that tie into consumer issues. You also have the challenges of making sure that in the environment of ICT – naturally, a fluid and volatile environment – your country chooses the best options so it does not fall behind. You have to level that playing field. You also have to make sure that the policymakers receive an input from the regulator which is proactive and correct, so they form good policies in the country even though the regulator himself is not actually a policy formulation body.
