The IIC hosted the Telecommunications and Media Forum (TMF) for Central and South America and the Caribbean as a virtual event from 6-8 July 2021 in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The event focused on the primary regulatory issues affecting the region, with contributors from regulatory bodies, operators, content providers, international bodies and research organisations from 20 countries. Key topics for 2021 were
building back better post-pandemic – connectivity and closing the digital divide, spectrum, content and the creative economy, competition in digital markets, and cybersecurity and data governance.
Now in its 8th year, the IIC’s annual Telecommunications & Media Forum focused on the LatAm/Caribbean regions returned online, in partnership with the IDB. Report by RUSSELL SEEKINS
