Michèle Léridon graduated from the training centre for journalists in Paris and the University Lumière-Lyon II. She became a journalist for regional newspapers such as La Voix de l’Ain and successively La nouvelle République du Centre-Ouest and Usine Nouvelle between 1977 and 1981.
