Rapidly evolving connectivity ecosystems—5G, 6G, fibre, satellite to device connectivity, shared infrastructure and cloud-based networks—continue to drive economic transformation. IIC members evaluate spectrum allocation models, spectrum valuation, shared use regimes, licensing and monitoring innovations, and the role of governments in delivering universal access. The theme addresses how regulators balance long-term investment incentives, spectrum fees, innovation, efficient spectrum utilisation, and service affordability, while managing co-existence challenges and ensuring resilient national connectivity.
