IIC are pleased to be hosting a roundtable meeting ‘EU Digital Networks Act (DNA) – competitiveness, innovation, investment, security’ kindly supported by Ericsson.
This interactive roundtable will explore how Europe can strengthen its digital future by accelerating competitiveness, driving innovation, encouraging strategic investment, and enhancing digital security. Together, we will examine the role of emerging technologies, resilient digital infrastructure, public-private collaboration, and policy initiatives in supporting sustainable economic growth while safeguarding citizens, businesses, and critical services.
The session will provide insights into the opportunities and challenges shaping Europe’s digital agenda, while encouraging discussion on how industry and policymakers can work together to deliver a secure, innovative, and globally competitive digital ecosystem.

Björn Blondell serves as Head of the Market Development Division at the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS), where he leads initiatives to advance a secure, sustainable, and inclusive digital society. With extensive experience in EU regulatory frameworks, he is a frequent contributor to international policy dialogues on digital governance.
Björn’s areas of expertise include the Digital Services Act (DSA) and regulation of digital markets, digital infrastructure and resilience and postal and parcel sector developments. He often advocates for strong cross-sector collaboration between public authorities, platforms, academia, and civil society as a critical enabler for effective regulation and for strengthening Europe’s and Sweden’s position in the digital landscape.
Lynn Robinson became Director General of the International Institute of Communications (IIC), in March 2020.
Lynn is an experienced senior director and trustee / non exec-director, having held key senior leadership positions in the technology, built environment, regulation, accreditation and dental industries. She has extensive experience of professional membership bodies working within the full spectrum including, Regulatory bodies, Industry associations and Chambers of Commerce. Lynn is a well-known and established ambassador in these areas having led on many strategic programmes to aid engagement, growth, retention, change management, stakeholder and political engagement.

Stefan Lechler was appointed Deputy Head of Unit for Electronic Communications Policy at the European Commission in 2018. Before this, he had been working since 2013 in the Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content and Technologies of the European Commission.
Previously, Mr Lechler worked for DG Competition and for the Legal Service of the Council of the European Union. Prior to joining the European institutions in 2008, Mr Lechler worked for ten years for Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn, where he headed the legal department’s unit for competition law and major litigation since 2002.
After his law studies in Erlangen (Germany), Geneva (Switzerland) and the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium), he was admitted to practice as a German Rechtsanwalt in 1996 and began his career as a lawyer in Brussels working for a US law firm.
