This panel discussion will bring together tourism and telecommunications industry leaders, policymakers, regulators, and technology experts to explore how the Caribbean can embrace innovation while preserving the unique qualities that make the region one of the world’s most desirable destinations.
Tourism has long been one of the Caribbean’s most important economic drivers, supporting businesses, creating employment opportunities, and showcasing the region’s rich culture and natural beauty. However, as technology continues to reshape how people travel, destinations across the Caribbean must adapt to meet visitors’ changing expectations while ensuring growth remains sustainable and inclusive.
Today’s travelers are more connected than ever. They expect seamless digital experiences, reliable connectivity, personalized services, and convenient access to information before, during, and after their journeys. At the same time, Caribbean destinations are being called upon to strengthen their resilience, protect their natural resources, and ensure that the benefits of tourism are shared throughout their communities.
Technology, innovation, and connectivity offer exciting opportunities to achieve these goals. From artificial intelligence and smart destination solutions to improved digital infrastructure and data-driven decision making, these tools can help shape a tourism sector that is more competitive, sustainable, and prepared for the future.
Please note the meeting will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
