DownloadInJanuary this year, at the invitation of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association, the International Institute of Communications presented in Nassau, The Bahamas, a one-day Regulatory Workshop attended by broadcasters, regulators and academics. This was the first day of the CBA's bi-annual conference, held under the rubric of "Empowering the People". At the workshop, issues of regulatory policy and its relevance and development in the face of new media avenues, especially in less industrialised countries, were thoroughly aired.
