The Telecommunications and Media Forum devoted to the MENA region took place online in March 2021, with three packed sessions animated by speakers from the region. Regulators and industry experts shared their experiences, achievements and priorities, and discussed how their roles and policies are evolving in the face of digital transformation. The first two sessions on “Telecom futures, convergence in practice”, focused on national
regulatory priorities and the response from the industry. The third session on “Audiovisual content, convergence in practice” examined disinformation and platform regulation, as well as media pluralism.
